Nahomi Silva Gomez,

Nour,
This is the best book that i ever read
Sophia Bailey,
i cannot rate this book because of personal reasons yet again🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 (my pretty gf gave it to me🤍🤍)
Bridget,
Beautifully written and relatable。 Can relate some of the poems to other situations, absolutely loved it。
Ace,
I bought the book on a whim as I was going though a poetry section in school and wanted to get more into it。 The title of the book caught my eye and I immediately bought it。 The book was slightly shorter than expected。 Some parts seem very repetitive but some of the poems were absolute gold。 It gave me a deeper appreciation for poetry。
Anna Cotrone,
This was a quick read; beautifully written and uncomfortably relatable。 Meaningful poetry that you can see yourself in without changing the pronouns around is such a comforting thing。
Amy,
cute but not revolutionary fav parts:“I don’t love women the way men love women。I don’t want to tame them。I don’t want to own them。I don’t want to treat themlike a trophy in a case。I just want to be close to them。It’s still hunger, but a different kind of hunger。”and “you can move on without forgiving them。”
Oriana,
i had such high expectations, they didn’t let me fully enjoy this。 there were some beautiful pieces here and there, but overall i thought this book was repetitive and some parts felt kind of like millennial activism。 i will be on the lookout for new books from the author, they do use words beautifully in their writing & i would love to give them another chance :) may we move forward together。
Samantha Blocher,
I loved the collection! Couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to reread and learn more each time 💖
Any Castle,
rupi kaur vibes, but queer。 comfort words, perfect light read for pride month。
Emmaly,
This book made me fall in love with poetry all over again!
Emani,
There is no other way to describe this collection than beautiful, relatable, and incredibly honest。 In a short period of time Bates managed to capture the pain, beauty, and magnificence that comes with being queer in today's society。 There were so many poems that I totally related to and ones I know I will come back to in the future。 This was the perfect way to kick off pride month。 Thank you to June Bates for being brave enough to put these feelings to paper for the world to see。 There is no other way to describe this collection than beautiful, relatable, and incredibly honest。 In a short period of time Bates managed to capture the pain, beauty, and magnificence that comes with being queer in today's society。 There were so many poems that I totally related to and ones I know I will come back to in the future。 This was the perfect way to kick off pride month。 Thank you to June Bates for being brave enough to put these feelings to paper for the world to see。 。。。more

Ellie Foster,
I really enjoyed reading this poetry book :)。 It was beautifully written, and a few of the poems really resonated with me。 I know that many of the poems will be relatable for other people too! I can't praise June Bates enough。 Admittedly, some of the poems were slightly cringey, but in a cute way。 I'd really recommend reading it!
